COVID-19 Update – Dental Treatment @ Mount Waverley Dental
Home / COVID-19 Update – Dental Treatment @ Mount Waverley Dental
Dear patients of Mount Waverley Dental,
Following the most recent recommendations of the Australian Dental Association we will still be seeing patients for necessary, urgent and emergency dental care. We are committed to providing quality dental care for all our patients during this difficult period however given the seriousness of COVID-19 we need to restrict treatment to only necessary procedures.
tooth aches and sore teeth, necessary fillings, lost fillings that are causing pain, tooth and gum abscesses, teeth that require extraction due to infection.
Be assured, all patients are screened prior to attending their appointment. Patients are asked:
– if they have traveled overseas in the last 14 days,
– been unwell with a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath or
– been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.
If so, we kindly ask those patients to defer dental treatment until given clearance by their Medical GP. This is to ensure all our patients, staff and community are kept safe.
In line with social distancing guidelines all our waiting room chairs are now placed at least 1.5 meters apart, magazines and toys removed, and we kindly ask all patients upon arrival to use our complimentary hand sanitiser.
As part of our routine infection control protocols all chairs and equipment are wiped down and disinfected before and after every patient, and dental instruments sterilized.
Our staff always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment which protects both our patients and staff members. We are closely monitoring the advice from the authorities each day in regards to COVID-19 will update you all as necessary.
For now we will continue providing the utmost care for our patients who are in need of necessary, urgent or emergency dental treatment.
